A graduate of Logansport High School, Janet attended Tri-State University (now Trine) where she played volleyball all four years and served as assistant coach one year. After college, Janet taught and coached in Michigan for three years before getting married and moving to Indianapolis. During her tenure in Indy, she taught and coached at Lawrence Central for eight years. It was under her direction that Lawrence Central started a boys volleyball program. As a member of the Indiana Boys Volleyball Coaches Association (IBVCA) board, Janet helped strengthen and promote boys high school volleyball in Indiana. After teaching preschool for six years, Janet has decided to pursue her volleyball passions full time. In addition to her role at Munciana Indy, Janet she runs the HSE-Fishers SPORTS Youth Volleyball league.
When she’s not at the club or on the court, Janet is busy with her husband of 23 years, Frank, as well as their daughters Kyla (19) and Jada (17).

Dominic is a transplant from Illinois and brings a rich mix of coaching and playing experiences to the Munciana Boy’s Program. He played on the United States Air Force Club Team in Turkey while serving overseas.
After the USAF, he played indoor and beach volleyball at various competitive levels before turning his focus to coaching. In his 15th year of coaching, he lead the Brownsburg High School Men’s Volleyball Club as varsity head coach in the 2019 season.
Prior to Brownsburg MVBC, he was Varsity Coach of Bishop Chatard High School Men’s Volleyball Club and was recognized by the IHSVCA for coaching honors and outstanding team academic performance during the 2017/18 seasons. He is heading into his 5th year as a boys club coach (12U-18U).
Dominic is also a volunteer training coach with USAVB High Performance clinics during boys club season.

Heather Lyon Borton
Heather has been in the gym as long as she can remember. She grew up playing for Munciana and won National Championships in 2000 and 2002, with the 15 Open Slug Bugs and the 17 Open Hokies respectively. Heather continued to play in college on the club team at Ball State University. This is also where she started transitioning into coaching. She coached the Northside Middle School Titans and several Munciana teams. After graduation Heather’s coaching career continued with the Edge Volleyball Club in Chicago. After moving back to Indianapolis she has coached with Bishop Chatard High School since 2013 as the JV Coach, Varsity Assistant, and is now Head Varsity Coach as of 2019. During her time with Bishop Chatard, Heather has also worked with the Junior Trojans Volleyball Club as a coach and an administrator. When Munciana Indy opened, she coached one year as the assistant to the 15 Open Moana and then took on the head coaching position for the 14 Open Otters in 2019. When she isn’t on the court Heather enjoys adventures with her husband, Noah, and their Golden Retrievers, Hazy and JoJo. Those adventures usually involve a stop at Starbucks, and a quest to find the best cake in town.
