- Played for the Samurai for three years, 2016-2018. Her 2017 team won the AAU National Championship and she was named an all-american
- Played high school ball at Miami East. Her 2016 team won the Division III State Championship
- Started playing club volleyball with Dayton Jrs, where she played for Ernie Gilbert (a former Ball State men’s team player)
- In 2017 she was selected to the Under Armour All-American 1st team
- In 2018 she was the Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year
- Played at Penn State University and was a 4-time All-American. At the end of her senior year she was awarded a Big Ten Medal of Honor, for excellence on and off the field at Penn State. This award has a 107 year tradition
- While at Penn State, Jonni started Chasing Greatness, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and generate funds for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community
